Twenty-five transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
Business representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Georgia, and Uzbekistan purchased base oil (Turkmennebit) for foreign currency.
Crude cotton soapstock fatty acids, raw silk, plain-dyed and jacquard terry products, cotton yarn and fabric, and cotton fiber were also sold for foreign currency. Buying countries included the UAE, Turkey, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Romania.
The total value of the transactions exceeded $6.01 million.
Domestic entrepreneurs purchased base oil (Turkmennebit), raw fabric, and cotton fiber for the domestic market for a total of 23 million 918 thousand manats.
