The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 8, at which the tasks of the country's socio-economic development were considered, in including the Balkan region, as well as a number of other issues, according to TDH.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the measures being implemented as part of the improvement of the activities of the oil and gas complex in the Balkan region, as well as on the draft resolution on the construction of a new coastal pumping station and the installation of Sea water desalination for the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries of the State Concern Turkmennebit.
As reported, the oil and gas complex is carrying out the necessary work in different regions of the country, including in the Balkan region. Practical steps are being taken in order to effectively use the facilities located on the territory of the State Concern Turkmennebit, in particular, the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, the Kenary storage and loading oil enterprise. and oil berths. In addition, Turkmen geologists and oil and gas companies carry out geological exploration and industrial development of oil and gas fields located on the territory of the region.
Having reported that, as in other regions of the country, large production facilities are put into operation in the Balkan region, the Vice-Chairman submitted a draft relevant resolution for consideration by the head of state.
Having heard the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that in order to effectively use the country's natural resources, including the Balkan region, oil and gas reserves, it is necessary to improve the activities of the institutions and enterprises of the complex on an ongoing basis, as well as to effectively carry out geological exploration in coastal zones of the Caspian Sea, continue the modernization of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. In this regard, the head of the state signed a resolution on the construction of a new coastal pumping station and an installation for desalination of sea water for the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and addressed the relevant instructions to the Vice-Chairman.
