Mutual interest in the further development of Turkmen-American cooperation was expressed at a meeting in the White House by US President Donald Trump and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aydogdyev, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aydogdyev during the meeting presented credentials to President Donald Trump. During the meeting, the importance of relations between Turkmenistan and the United States, which is more than 34 years old, as well as mutual interest in further development of cooperation in trade, economic, investment, energy, cultural and other areas, was noted, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes.
Ambassador Aydogdyev expressed Trump a greeting from Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Donald Trump also expressed his good wishes to the President of Turkmenistan and the national leader of the Turkmen people, the Foreign Ministry said.
It is worth noting that last week Turkmenistan Ambassador to the United States Esen Aydogdyev at meetings in Washington with representatives of the Senate and Congress, as well as members of the US Business Council - Turkmenistan discussed preparations for the upcoming visit of the US business delegation to Ashgabat. The parties discussed issues of expanding trade, economic, investment, energy, transport, industrial and agricultural cooperation, as well as interactions in the private sector.
