In 2021, Turkmenistan's income from the export of oil and oil products to Georgia exceeded 191 million US dollars

 At the end of 2021, the export of oil and oil products from Turkmenistan to Georgia amounted to $191.8 million, which is 186.2% more than in 2020.  This is reported by Trend with reference to the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

 At the same time, in quantitative terms, the supply of oil and oil products from Turkmenistan to Georgia increased by 103.1% - from 149,711 to 304,193 tons.

 Thus, in 2021, Turkmenistan has become the main exporter of oil and oil products to this country.  In second place is Russia (134.6 million dollars), in third place is Romania (133.7 million dollars).

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) welcomes the decision of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to approve the International Cooperation Roadmap for 2023-2024 to explore Turkmenistan's accession to the Global Methane Commitment. In January-November 2021, oil and gas fields were discovered in the world with a total volume of estimated reserves of 4.7 billion barrels of oil equivalent – this is the lowest level in 75 years, Interfax reports, citing data of the Rystad Energy consulting company.
