The CEC of Turkmenistan registered 2,726 national observers for the presidential elections in the country

The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan has registered 2,726 national observers for the forthcoming presidential elections on March 12, according to the CEC website.
544 national observers are registered from the Democratic Party, 355 from the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, 390 from the Agrarian Party, 520 from the Trade Unions of the country, 290 from the Women's Union, 525 from the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, 84 from groups of citizens and candidates - 18 observers.
It is also noted that 47.76% of national observers are women.
Within their powers, national observers monitor the compliance with the law of the conduct of the election campaign.
At present, the monitoring of the early presidential elections in Turkmenistan, in addition to the national ones, is carried out by foreign observers from the CIS. As part of their mission, they visited polling stations in Ashgabat.
