Serdar Berdimuhamedov: Turkmenistan is ready to increase energy supplies through the countries of Central Asia

On Thursday in Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan) the fourth Consultative meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia was held. The meeting was attended by the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
Speaking at the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the readiness of our country to significantly increase energy supplies and expand their transit configuration in Central Asia.

Recalling that a major energy project has already been implemented in Central Asia - the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the opportunity to continue and expand partnerships in the energy sector.
“We look forward to continuing and expanding our partnership in the energy sector. Our common asset already has a major energy project implemented - the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
At the same time, the President added that Ashgabat is ready to "consider, together with partners, the possibilities for a significant increase in energy supplies and expansion of their transit configuration".
