On Monday, Afghan media reported an increase in imports of liquefied natural gas from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan.  According to the publications, the Taliban provisional government issued a statement to this effect after a meeting of its economic sector.

According to the interim government's statement, liquefied gas importing companies will soon send thousands of tons of liquefied gas, which has already arrived from Turkmenistan to Afghan Kharitan, Akina and Turgundi, to the country's markets.

The Afghan authorities expect that by distributing these volumes of liquefied gas, it will be possible to significantly reduce the prices for this type of fuel gas in the country's markets.

The notification of the Afghan authorities also emphasizes that tens of thousands of tons of liquefied gas will enter the country in the near future.
