The country's oil and gas industry is the main base for strengthening our economic independence, improving people's living standards, creating powerful, diversified manufacturing industries.  President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said it, speaking on September 1 in the capital's Congress Center, where he held a general lesson on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and the beginning of the new academic year.

The head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan was one of the richest countries in the world in terms of underground natural resources and ranked fourth in the world in terms of reserves of "blue fuel".

The diversified development of the industry, the use of digital technologies, including 3D modeling methods, further increased the efficiency of geological exploration in oil and gas fields, the President said.

The head of Turkmenistan noted that the oil products produced by the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and the Seydi oil refinery were in great demand and were exported to dozens of countries around the world.  The construction of one of the largest projects of the century, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, continued.  All this work strengthened the position of Turkmenistan in the world as a powerful energy state.

«We are currently building large industrial complexes equipped with modern technologies and the latest scientific achievements.  The products manufactured at the polymer plant in Kiyanly are in great demand on the world market.  We have implemented the world's first large-scale project for the production of synthetic fuel from natural gas», Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

The plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in the Akhal region produced ECO-93 gasoline, which was environmentally friendly and meets the Euro-5 standard.  All this further increased the economic potential of our country and brings great income, the President noted.
