Delegation of Turkmenistan discussed with the oil and gas corporation of Georgia the prospects for cooperation in the fuel and energy complex

 A Turkmen delegation consisting of representatives of state bodies and business structures held a meeting in Tbilisi with the General Director of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation George Chikovani, Orient reports citing the Georgian media.

 The main purpose of the talks was to discuss the current situation and plans for future cooperation in the energy sector.  Among the topics discussed were the simplification of transit procedures and the increase in the volume of oil products supplied from Turkmenistan, the joint implementation of infrastructure projects.

 George Chikovani briefed the guests on the agenda of the Georgian oil and gas corporation, focusing on the importance of diversifying partnerships in the energy sector, including trade in products made from natural gas.  The parties noted their readiness to continue cooperation.

 The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovlet Muratov.
