Since the beginning of this year, Turkmenistan has been the largest supplier of gas to China, Interfax reports, citing data from the General Administration for Customs of the People's Republic of China.

In August, Turkmenistan delivered 2.9 billion cubic meters to China. m of gas, Russia - 2.4 billion cubic meters. m (including more than 1 billion cubic meters - in the form of LNG), 2.3 billion cubic meters. m put Australia.

China is the largest partner of Turkmenistan in the gas industry. The Central Asian gas pipeline Turkmenistan - China includes three parallel lines (A, B and C) running along the route Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China.

In 2021, about 34 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas were supplied to China.

The fourth branch (D) of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline is planned to be laid along the route Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan-China. With the construction of this line and the pipeline reaching its design capacity, the annual supply of Turkmen gas to China will be increased to 65 billion cubic meters.
