On December 5, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in Baku discussed the agenda of the trilateral summit Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey, as well as meetings of the ministers of foreign affairs, transport and energy of the three countries, to be held next week in Avaza. The Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on Monday met with Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov as part of a working visit to this country, the Foreign Ministry said.
The head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan said that on December 14, 2022, the first trilateral summit of the heads of state in the Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey format will be held in the National Tourist Zone «Avaza». The day before, on December 13, 3 parallel ministerial meetings will be organized: the ministers of foreign affairs, the ministers of transport, and the ministers of energy of the three countries.
It was also noted that the Turkmen side expects the participation of Azerbaijani colleagues in the high-level international conference «Dialogue is a guarantee of peace», which is scheduled for December 11, 2022 in Ashgabat.
As part of his visit to Baku, the Vice-Chairman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was received by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. During the conversation, it was noted that friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries are successfully developing in various fields, including trade, economic, transport, cultural and humanitarian. There was also an exchange of views on the prospects for cooperation.
