 Issues of production and distribution of petroleum products, as well as strengthening the material and technical base of the oil refining industry were discussed during a government meeting, which President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held via a digital system last Friday.

 Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov reported on the ongoing measures to ensure and rational use of oil products by government bodies, enterprises and institutions.

 As reported, the State Concern «Turkmennebit», together with the relevant ministries, sectoral departments, organizations, analyzed the required volumes of distribution of petroleum products to domestic consumers for 2023.

 After listening to the report, the President noted that one of the most important tasks of the oil and gas industry is to meet the growing domestic demand for energy resources.

 Having named the further modernization of the enterprises of the supervised complex, strengthening of its resource base, strict control over the implementation of production plans by industry enterprises and institutions among the priority vectors of the forthcoming work, the head of state addressed a number of instructions to the Vice-Chairman.

 The Vice-Chairman also reported on the steps taken to improve the material and technical base of the production facilities of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries of the State Concern «Turkmennebit».

 In accordance with the work plan, the TCOR is implementing measures to maintain the process equipment in good condition and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the complex's divisions, which will increase the volume of petroleum products and ensure their quality at the level of world standards.

 Emphasizing the importance of strengthening the material and technical base of the fuel and energy complex and the widespread introduction of innovative technologies, Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice-Chairman to continue comprehensive work in this direction.
