In 2022, 43.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas was supplied to China through the Central Asia-China gas pipeline.  This is reported by the Xinhua news agency, citing published data from the Chinese company PipeChina West Pipeline Company.

It is also noted that about 100 million cubic meters of natural gas per day is transported through this pipeline.  According to the company, the maximum daily volume of transportation exceeded 163 million cubic meters.

The gas pipeline, put into operation at the end of 2009, passes through the territories of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, connecting with the Chinese West-East gas pipeline at the Khorgos border crossing in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The Central Asia-China gas pipeline provides «blue fuel» to more than 500 million people in 27 provinces, cities of central subordination and autonomous regions of the PRC, as well as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
