The oil and gas industry is one of the leading sectors of the national economy of Turkmenistan. Among the leading enterprises that consistently make a significant contribution to the development of the country’s oil and gas industry is the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. Founded in 1943, the TCOR in a short period of time became one of the largest oil refineries in the world. The complex processes oil and gas condensate and produces various petroleum, gas and petrochemical products.
