Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a working visit to Beijing, met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Ding Xuexiang, TDH reported on Wednesday.
During the negotiations, held in the format of a business lunch, the interlocutors noted the closeness or coincidence of views of the two states on current issues on the world agenda, which contributes to the establishment of a trusting dialogue that meets mutual interests.
Among the priority areas of bilateral cooperation were the trade and economic sphere, fuel and energy and transport and communications sectors, industry, agriculture and others.
The parties also discussed issues of developing partnership between the parliaments of the two countries and intensifying cultural and humanitarian interaction.
Over 500 delegates registered to participate in TIF 2024
Next week, the capital of Turkmenistan will host the Investment Forum TIF 2024, which will discuss the strategy for developing the national economy, attracting foreign investment and strengthening international cooperation. The upcoming forum will be especially large-scale: it will be attended by more than 500 delegates, including representatives of government agencies, the private sector, international organizations and foreign investors.
