The state and prospects of interstate cooperation were discussed on Monday at a meeting between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
Expressing confidence that the current visit to Turkmenistan would be another step towards the further development of Turkmen-Saudi relations, Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the minister success in holding a consultative meeting between the foreign ministries of the two countries, congratulating him on the opening of a new complex of buildings of the Saudi Arabian embassy in Ashgabat.
Emphasizing that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia, the head of state stated that our country attaches great importance to the development of long-term, forward-looking bilateral relations, reaffirming the interest in bringing these relations to an even higher level. .
During the conversation, the positive dynamics of trade and economic partnership and the presence of a solid export-import potential for expanding mutually beneficial business contacts were noted. The fuel and energy complex, trade, investments, transport and communications, chemical and textile industries, and agriculture were named among the promising areas of cooperation.
