Turkmenistan and China are working on issues of increasing the volume of gas supplies to China. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing last Friday, State news agency reports.
“Today we are working on increasing the volume of gas supplies from Turkmenistan to China, taking into account the growing needs of the Chinese economy and the possibilities of the resource base of Turkmenistan,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
“In this regard, the process of substantive discussion of the project for the construction of the fourth line of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline is underway,” the head of Turkmenistan emphasized.
At the talks with Xi Jinping, the Turkmen leader called the fuel and energy sector the most important priority for cooperation between Turkmenistan and China.
“The most important priority of cooperation between Turkmenistan and China is the fuel and energy sector. Which, of course, is understandable: our states have great potential here,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
