President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed over the phone on Wednesday how to boost economic partnership.
Noting the high level of interstate dialogue, the interlocutors stressed that there were broad prospects for building mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas. In this regard, the parties reaffirmed their desire to strengthen trade and economic partnerships, to stimulate business contacts in various sectors.
Among the promising areas of cooperation were the oil and gas sector, the transport and communications sector, the chemical and textile industry, trade and investment, where there are great opportunities for long-term cooperation and joint projects.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov invited the Qatari leader to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan at any time convenient for him. The invitation was gratefully accepted and the terms of the visit will be agreed upon by diplomatic channels.
