The OSCE Center in Ashgabat organized an online training to familiarize Turkmen specialists with the experience of the OSCE member states in the field of environmental security in the energy sector.

International experts recognized as highly effective in socio-economic and environmental terms such projects of Turkmenistan as a gas chemical complex in Kiyanly and a plant for the production of synthetic gasoline from natural gas in Ahal region, new technological units of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries.

Thanks to the use of innovative technologies, these facilities ensure the production of high-quality petroleum products and gas-chemical products with improved environmental characteristics that meet international norms and standards, and reduce the level of harmful emissions into the environment.

The webinar participants noted the importance of strengthening cooperation with other countries, including the European Union, where the best approaches and practices in the field of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change have been successfully tested.
