Saudi Arabia supports Turkmenistan's position on TAPI implementation, - Ambassador

Saudi Arabia fully supports the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline. This was stated by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan Said Osman Ahmed Suweid in an article published in the newspaper «Neutral Turkmenistan» on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Proclamation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The diplomat noted that the state he represents supports the position of Turkmenistan on the importance of global energy stability and the expansion of energy supplies through the implementation of large-scale projects like TAPI.
The ambassador also said that Saudi Arabia is cooperating along this line and is supporting an ambitious gas pipeline project initiated by Turkmenistan. The Kingdom positively assesses the socio-economic impact for the covered regions expected from the implementation of TAPI.
