Measures in the oil and gas complex were taken to hold elections at the proper level

 Last Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by digital system, at which the results of the elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the velayat (regional), etrap (province), city halk maslahaty and gengeshes were considered.

 During the meeting, members of the government reported on the work done to prepare and conduct the election campaign, which has become a major event in the socio-political life of our country.

 In particular, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ashirguly Begliev in his report said that measures were taken in the structural divisions of the oil and gas complex to hold elections at the proper level, in an atmosphere of openness and transparency.

 As noted, the polling stations established at the enterprises of the oil and gas industry were equipped with the necessary equipment to ensure the organized and active participation of employees of the fuel and energy complex in this important campaign.

 Specialists of the departments of the oil and gas complex and their subordinate institutions and enterprises took part in this significant social and political event, voting for worthy candidates.  Conditions were also created for the voting of shift workers.

 President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the great importance of the results of the elections, and stated that the creation of a legal framework for civil society made it possible to hold them on a broad competitive basis.

 The head of state also instructed to analyze the course of the completed electoral process and prepare proposals for its improvement, which will be considered for amendments and additions to the legislation.

 Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that in order for the newly elected deputies of the national parliament to take up their duties as soon as possible, the first session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation will be held on April 6 at the Center for Public Organizations in the capital, the newspaper writes.

 The head of state thanked all compatriots who took part in the voting.
