Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants of the International Investment Forum OGT-2023

 In his address, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the International Field Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments in the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on the start of work.

 The head of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the Forum in Dubai would allow more actively attracting investments in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, which has colossal reserves of hydrocarbon resources, establish and promote fruitful cooperation with leading foreign companies, introduce the latest scientific achievements into production in the Revival of the new era of a powerful state.

 Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the exceptional importance of the current Forum for intensifying the pace of industrialization of Turkmenistan, diversifying its economy, attracting investments in the joint development of oil and gas fields, and implementing priority programs to increase production of products in demand on the world market.

 “I am sure that the Forum will become an excellent platform for a constructive exchange of opinions and proposals at the expert level on the most pressing issues, including increasing the export of natural gas, diversifying its routes, developing promising areas for attracting investments in the gas processing, gas chemical industries, building new production facilities for the oil and gas  industries and minimizing their impact on the environment!”, the President of Turkmenistan said in his address.

 Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that “independent Turkmenistan, which occupies one of the leading positions in the global ranking of hydrocarbon reserves, first of all seeks to orient its resource potential in the interests of the Turkmen people and other members of the world community, as well as to maintain economic stability in the region”.

 For these purposes, the President noted, we are implementing a number of major projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline.  Today, the laying of a transnational gas pipeline continues at an accelerated pace, and here there are great prospects for cooperation for representatives of foreign business.  The implementation of this ambitious plan will have a significant positive impact on the economies of all countries in the region”.

“Another ambitious project is the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline for the export of Turkmen “blue” fuel to Europe,” the head of Turkmenistan continued.

 The President’s address also noted that, along with traditional transportation methods in our country, “huge attention is paid to the processing industry as a factor in diversifying natural gas supplies, as evidenced by targeted projects implemented in Turkmenistan in recent years, including the construction of specialized facilities”.

 Recalling in this regard that “Turkmenistan has the largest production facilities not only in the region, but also in the world – a polymer plant in Kiyanly and a plant for the production of gasoline from gas in Akhal”, the head of state stressed that “in these areas, our country has  There are huge opportunities”.

 Noting that the phased development of the giant Galkynysh gas store continues at an increasing pace, Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that “in this matter, we attach particular importance to foreign investment”.

 “One of the main tasks is also the development of licensed blocks of the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea at the expense of foreign capital on the basis of the Production Sharing Agreement,” the President noted, adding that “for this, Turkmenistan has a favorable investment climate in financial, economic and legislative aspects, which consistently  improved according to international requirements”.

 At the end of his address, Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked the state and government leadership of the United Arab Emirates for providing excellent opportunities and support in organizing such an important event.
