Turkmenistan and Armenia are preparing for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation

 Preparations for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation were discussed at a meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

 During the meeting, issues on the bilateral agenda were also discussed, including trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, transport and logistics, scientific and educational, as well as the state of legal documents.

 Ayazov said that the current year 2024 in Turkmenistan will be held under the motto “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi,” within the framework of which the embassy plans to hold a number of cultural and scientific events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great classic poet.

 The previous, 9th meeting of the IGC on economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Armenia took place in September 2022 in Ashgabat.
