The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs held meetings with the participants of the inter-Afghan peace talks in the capital of Qatar, the city of Doha, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

During a meeting with representatives of the Taliban movement who are part of the negotiating delegation, the Turkmen side noted that Turkmenistan supports the inter-Afghan negotiations on restoring peace in Afghanistan, and expresses its conviction in the effectiveness of diplomatic and political instruments, and is also ready to assist the negotiation process in within the previously announced initiatives.

At the same time, it was noted that the Turkmen side actively cooperates with regional and international structures to promote peace, stability and socio-economic growth in Afghanistan.

Realizing the importance of such spheres of the economy as energy, transport, communications and communications for the comprehensive development of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan is actively working to promote a number of large international infrastructure projects currently being implemented with the participation of two neighboring countries and the states of South Asia, the publication notes.

First of all, we are talking about the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, power transmission lines and fiber-optic communications along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route, and the construction of railways from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan.

The parties expressed their hope for the promotion of a friendly dialogue aimed at ensuring the well-being of Afghanistan and its people.

The meeting was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan notes.
