Issues of intensifying relations in the areas of export and transit of energy resources were discussed on March 28 at a meeting between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, TDH reports.
As noted, today the political and diplomatic dialogue at the bilateral level and within international organizations is successfully developing, based on the traditions of respect and mutual understanding.
Iran is traditionally one of the most important partners with which our country maintains trade and economic ties, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, emphasized the role of the joint Turkmen-Iranian group on economic cooperation, whose activities are aimed at agreeing on specific measures to increase cooperation in the electricity and transport sectors.
In this regard, confidence was expressed that the successful implementation of projects in these areas will give impetus to the development of bilateral partnerships.
At the same time, special emphasis was placed on the importance of searching for new forms and methods of interaction in the fuel and energy complex in accordance with modern requirements, and intensifying relations in the areas of export and transit of energy resources.
