The amount of foreign exchange transactions on the exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded 47.6 million US dollars

 69 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

 Businessmen from the UAE, Turkey and Afghanistan purchased motor gasoline and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries for foreign currency.  Businessmen from the UAE and Afghanistan also purchased gasoline produced at the Seydi oil refinery.  Urea became the subject of deals for representatives of the UK business community, and HDPE - for Russia and Turkey.

 Also, hand-made carpets, dyed terry products, cotton yarn and fabric, and denim were sold for foreign currency.  Purchasing countries: Russia, UAE, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan.

 The total amount of transactions exceeded 47 million 697 thousand US dollars.

 For manat funds, merchants from the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Armenia purchased cotton yarn for a total amount of more than 25 million 402 thousand manats.

 Domestic businessmen purchased freight vehicles and cotton fiber for a total amount of over 40 million 19 thousand manat for the local market.

Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan, India and Pakistan discussed the progress of the TAPI project

The implementation of the project for the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline was discussed on Monday in a telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and his counterparts from India Subramanyam Jaishankar and Pakistan Shah Mahmud Qureishi, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
