President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution approving the Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and investments in 2025. The corresponding document was published in the central media of our country.
The head of state announced the decision to approve this program at an expanded meeting of the government on February 7. Addressing the participants of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that in order to successfully implement the program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028, a draft Program of socio-economic development of the country and investments in 2025 has been developed.
In accordance with the approved Program, in 2025 it is envisaged to maintain the GDP growth rate at 6.3%, support the stable development of economic sectors and regions, achieve the full use of production enterprises, create over 3,000 jobs through the construction of new enterprises, and increase the volume of foreign trade turnover to 20 billion US dollars, the President noted.
Investments in the amount of 40 billion manats will be directed to the country's economy from all sources of financing.
Focusing on the need to carry out work to increase the revenue side of the State Budget, the targeted use of its expenditure side, the President noted that banking institutions should continue to finance projects related to the implementation of state programs. It was also instructed to provide effective financial support for economic development and maintain the stability of the national currency.
