Turkmenistan and the International Exhibitions Bureau intend to strengthen relations

The issues of strengthening partnership relations in exhibition and fair activities were discussed on March 18 in Ashgabat at a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) Dimitri Kerkentzes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The subject of discussion was the holding of a meeting of the Administrative and Budgetary Committee of the BIE on March 19 in Ashgabat, at which it is planned to consider financial and administrative issues of the BIE. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmenistan is a member of the Administrative and Budgetary Committee of the BIE for the period 2024-2025.
Having noted that Turkmenistan actively participates in global and specialized exhibitions, the parties emphasized the importance of the implemented "Concept for the Development of International Exhibition Activities of Turkmenistan for 2024-2025". A review of the implementation of the "Roadmap for Expanding Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the BIE for 2023-2025" was also held.
The interlocutors placed special emphasis on Turkmenistan's participation in the World EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
The meeting participants expressed confidence that joint events will contribute to the expansion of international cooperation and further integration of Turkmenistan into the global exhibition space.
