On March 22, a nationwide greening campaign was held in Turkmenistan with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The Chairman of the Mejlis, Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, representative offices of foreign countries and international organizations accredited in our country, as well as the general public also took part in this important environmental event.
The environmental policy pursued by the state is aimed at creating a clean natural environment for future generations. An important aspect of this policy is the broad involvement of the population in environmental protection work.
Environmental protection has become a national tradition in Turkmenistan. Annual clean-up days are not only a social initiative, but also part of a comprehensive program for greening the country. Its goal is to turn our state into a "green oasis" through mass tree planting.
At the end of the environmental cleanup, the President of Turkmenistan visited the international festival of national cuisines, which brought together representatives from more than 30 countries. The festival showcased traditional dishes of the peoples of the world, and the best chefs were awarded. The Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov presented international certificates.
Representatives of the UN and the diplomatic corps highly appreciated the organization of the festival. In their opinion, the event was not only a gastronomic holiday, but also an important platform for cultural exchange.
The culmination of the day was a concert with the participation of people's and honored artists of Turkmenistan. The musical program emphasized the atmosphere of unity and inspired the participants to further care for nature.
