Introduction of digital technologies in the structures of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan

Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhim Abdrakhmanov reported on the ongoing work on the implementation of digital technologies at enterprises and institutions of the oil and gas complex and ensuring information security during a government meeting chaired by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on February 19.
It was noted that, in accordance with the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025 and earlier given instructions of the head of state, measures are being taken to introduce digital technologies.
The President drew attention to the tasks of further progressive development of the oil and gas industry, bringing it in line with the requirements of the time.
In this context, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed to the prospects opening up with the use of modern IT technologies in the oil and gas sector, including a management system, digital wells and fields projects, digital capital construction.
The development of recommendations for the innovative development of the oil and gas complex, as well as their implementation should become the main areas of activity of the new structures created in the industry, the head of state said, having addressed a number of specific instructions to the Vice-Chairman.
