Turkey is ready to provide gas supplies from Turkmenistan and transit to Europe

 Ankara is ready to make efforts to ensure supplies of Turkmen gas to Turkey and transit through Turkish territory to European markets.  Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated this on Tuesday, INTERFAX-AZERBAIJAN reports.

«We are ready to do everything that is entrusted to us to ensure the supply of Turkmen gas to Turkey and its transit through Turkish territory to European markets. This issue was discussed today during a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov. It will also be discussed today during a trilateral  meetings with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan», - Cavusoglu said on Tuesday in Ankara at a joint press conference with his Turkmen counterpart.

 The Turkish Foreign Minister said that Ankara welcomes the signing of the Azerbaijani-Turkmen Memorandum on the development of the «Dostluk» field in the Caspian Sea.

«We are very happy with the signing of this document between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Turkish companies, for their part, are ready to work in this region and in the Caspian Sea, and I have already stated this to Minister Meredov», - Cavusoglu said.
