On July 9, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, met with Senator Steve Daines of Montana, a member of the US Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, who was visiting our country, TDH reports.

As noted, Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to developing a bilateral partnership based on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. For many years, our countries have effectively cooperated in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

During the conversation, the fuel and energy and transportation and communications sectors were identified as key areas for developing economic cooperation. Its favorable geographic location and abundant natural resources allow Turkmenistan to advance major projects of international significance.

As noted, our country highly appreciates the US's attention and support in the creation of transport and transit corridors along the East-West and North-South routes, as well as the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline, which is promising for the region.

In this regard, Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence that the implementation of this project will contribute to strengthening economic stability, cooperation, and prosperity in the region.
