 President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated compatriots on the holiday of Eid al-Adha.

 «I sincerely congratulate you on the holiday that originates in the depths of millennia and embodies the triumph of spiritual and moral ideals!  I am convinced that the musical, song and cultural events to commemorate this holiday, held in the year, the motto of which is "Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust", will give our courageous people happiness and inspiration, increasing the great love for our Motherland!», - says the congratulation.

 «Eid al-Adha is one of the most ancient and sacred holidays, preaching spiritual and moral purity and humanistic ideals of mankind. Today, this holiday, imbued with national traditions and customs, beliefs, symbolizes the peaceful life of our happy people …», - the head of state said.

 «Therefore, in 2021, marked by the glorious events of the 30th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Motherland, … on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, colorful musical and song celebrations are held in Ashgabat and in all cities of the country for three days», - the President's message says.

 On the days of the celebration, «sachaks are widely spread in every family, abounding in prepared festive dishes, sadaqa-kurbanlyk is given and prayers are offered for the further prosperity of the independent Motherland», - the congratulation declares.

 «Festive events contribute to the consolidation of our healthy society, its solidity, increase pride in a happy life, give inexhaustible energy to achieve new successes and high goals», - the presidential message says.

 According to the decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, this year Eid al-Adha is celebrated in our country from 20 to 22 July.
