President of Turkmenistan will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan

A government delegation headed by the President of Turkmenistan will soon pay an official visit to Uzbekistan, during which a package of cooperation documents will be signed. Preparations for the upcoming visit were discussed during a working meeting, held recently by the head of state via video link.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairman Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev, reportied on the preparations for the meeting of the Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, and said that it had been planned to conclude mutually beneficial agreements in different areas as a result.
Having noted that during the upcoming visit of the government delegation headed by the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan, the relevant documents on the agreements reached would be signed, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure a high organizational level of the planned international events.
In this regard, the President instructed the Vice-Chairman to discuss the agreements that are being prepared for signing with his Uzbek counterpart at a meeting of the joint Turkmen-Uzbek commission next week.
“Today, bilateral cooperation, incorporating close interaction in many sectors of the national economy, is distinguished by its intensity,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, noted that the agreements reached during the meetings and negotiations at the highest level and the outlined long-term plans are designed to bring the Turkmen-Uzbek political, trade and cultural ties to a higher level that meets mutual interests.
Trade turnover between Turkmenistan and China in the first half of the year increased by 12.3%
