Turkmenistan prepares for participation in the EXPO-2020 exhibition in Dubai

 A few days ago, the capital of Turkmenistan hosted a webinar dedicated to the preparation for the grand opening of EXPO 2020 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) on October 1. The event was organized by the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan.

 From the Turkmen side, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the media took part in the webinar.

 Opening the webinar, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hai Al-Hameli addressed the participants.  The diplomat thanked all the participants in the meeting and congratulated the citizens of Turkmenistan on the upcoming holiday of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

 The head of the UAE diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan also prepared a presentation of the upcoming exhibition in the form of a virtual tour for the webinar participants.

 The largest international exhibition will be dedicated to the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, within which there will be three more sub-themes: “Opportunity”, “Mobility” and “Sustainability”.

 It is planned that representatives of more than 190 countries will take part in EXPO 2020.

 The pavilion of Turkmenistan at the exhibition will be located in the thematic area «Mobility».  Day 9 October will be entirely dedicated to the demonstration of the achievements of our country.  In particular, various products and investment projects of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan will be presented.

 The World's Fair will end on March 31, 2022.

In remote settlements of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenenergo energy corporation plans to build solar power plants with a total capacity of more than 6 MW at the first stage.
