Turkmenistan invites Austrian companies to take part in the implementation of projects in the field of gas chemistry

Turkmenistan is interested in attracting Austrian companies to participate in the implementation and financing of projects for the construction of new facilities for deep processing of natural gas. This was stated by the Chairman of the State Concern «Turkmenchemistry» Niyazly Niyazliyev at a meeting with the Austrian delegation that arrived in Turkmenistan the day before, headed by Foreign Minister Michael Linhart.
The head of «Turkmenchemistry» emphasized that within the framework of long-term state programs in Turkmenistan, a number of promising projects are envisaged for the construction of new capacities for the processing of «blue fuel», the production of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, iodine-bromine products, caustic soda and chlorine, and the integrated development of hydromineral resources of the Garabogaz Bay.
As N. Niyazliyev added, Turkmenistan, which has an impressive export potential, is able to supply Austria with high-quality chemical products produced at the enterprises of the State Concern «Turkmenchemistry». Including – polyethylene and polypropylene, environmentally friendly gasoline from natural gas of the ECO-93 brand, granular urea, potassium chloride, technical iodine and carbon.
“In turn, the open investment policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan provides foreign investors with ample opportunities for the development of beneficial partnerships,” N. Niyazliyev said.
He also noted that since 2010, about $ 8.4 billion has been allocated for the development of the chemical industry of Turkmenistan. The total volume of production capacities for the production of mineral fertilizers has been increased more than 3 times during this time.
Over the past ten years, Turkmenistan has built new modern ammonia-urea complexes in the cities of Mary and Garabogaz, the Garlyk potash mining complex, a polymer plant in Kiyanly, a gasoline plant from natural gas in Ahal region and other facilities.
