The head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan discussed issues of bilateral and regional cooperation in Dushanbe

The issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda were discussed at the meeting of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon with the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, who arrived in Dushanbe on Tuesday to participate in the 14th Forum of Cooperation «Central Asia – Republic of Korea», the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
During the meeting, the parties noted the ongoing development of the Turkmen-Tajik interaction, where the countries demonstrate their commitment to expanding the spheres of trade and economic partnership and further deepening cultural and humanitarian ties.
Also at the meeting, the parties discussed the results of the 15th Summit of Heads of State of the Economic Cooperation Organization, which took place last Sunday in the Turkmen capital.
At the same time, it was emphasized that this multilateral meeting has become an effective platform for the exchange of views on the widest range of issues of common interest within the framework of this international authoritative organization.
Also within the framework of the visit, R. Meredov held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea, Jung Ui Yong. The ministers noted the positive dynamics of the development of partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in bilateral and multilateral formats.
In this regard, the diplomats highly appreciated the activities of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum, which acts as a regular multilateral consultative platform.
Particularly noted was his contribution to the development of cooperation between the states of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea in such areas as energy, infrastructure, transport and logistics, science and technology, information and communication technologies, digitalization, textile and forestry industries, agriculture, climate and the environment.
