In January-November 2021, Uzbekistan imported 141.2 million liters of motor gasoline from Turkmenistan.  This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.  Thus, Turkmenistan ranks second in the supply of motor gasoline to the neighboring country.

The leaders in this segment are Russian producers, who supplied 145.3 million liters of gasoline to this republic in January-November last year.  In third place is Kazakhstan, which exported 16 million liters of motor fuel.

The five exporters of gasoline to Uzbekistan also included Iraq (3.6 million liters) and Iran (1.8 million liters).

It should be noted that in Turkmenistan, the production of various brands of gasoline is carried out by the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, as well as a new plant in the Akhal velayat.  And here environmentally friendly fuel is produced from natural gas using the technology of the Danish company Haldor Topsoe.

The plant, which went into operation in June 2019, was built under a contract between Turkmengaz State Corporation and a consortium of the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries and the Turkish holding Rönesans.  The plant can annually produce 600 thousand tons of ECO-93 gasoline.  In the future, it is planned to build a second stage at this gas chemical complex, which will significantly increase its production capabilities, and hence the export supplies of the oil and gas complex of our country.

At present, Turkmenistan sells its oil products through the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange to the countries of Europe and Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.
