The President of Turkmenistan approved the Program of social and economic development of the country for 2023

 President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution approving the Program for the socio-economic development of the country in 2023.  This document was signed by the head of state during an expanded government meeting last Friday.

 As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted at the meeting, in accordance with the approved Program, it is planned to increase the GDP growth rate in 2023 to 6.5%.

 It is also planned to steadily develop the sectors of the national economy and regions of the country, achieve the withdrawal of production enterprises to full capacity, create about 3 thousand new jobs through the construction of modern enterprises.  It is planned to increase the volume of foreign trade turnover to 19.4 billion US dollars.

 The program also provides for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.  The share of the private sector in the structure of GDP (not including the fuel and energy complex) is planned to be increased to 71.3%.

 Also among the priorities of the program, the President noted, is the increase in the income of the population, the improvement of the level of social and living conditions of the people by increasing wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships by 10%.

 Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to continue work on strengthening the base of the national economy, creating new industries and industries, introducing innovative technologies into the economy, as well as increasing the share of the private sector in the economy.
