Iran ready to transport Turkmen and Russian gas in any direction

Iran has offered to transport Turkmen and Russian gas to consumers in any direction, including South Asia. This was stated by the head of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) Reza Novshadi, according to the News Central Asia (nCa) news service.
In an exclusive conversation with nCa on the sidelines of the IRI specialized exhibition, held February 15-17 in Ashgabat, Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) Reza Novshadi said: “We officially recommended and proposed to Gazprom and Turkmengas. Iran is ready to receive gas from Turkmenistan and Russia in the north and deliver it in the south to any country they want”.
According to Novshadi, Iran has the capacity to transfer up to 100 million cubic meters of gas per day, which is about 36.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
IGEDC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Iran's National Gas Company NIGC.
