Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chairing the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, signed the Constitutional Law "On Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan", which provides for the creation of a bicameral parliament in our country.

The head of state signed this document after it was approved by the deputies of the Halk Maslakhaty and the Mejlis.

As the Turkmen leader emphasized, the adoption of the Constitutional Law of Turkmenistan is a grandiose historical event that will give a new impetus to the further development of the country.

- We believe that the adoption of the Constitutional Law will be another important step towards democratization of our country, - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said. - I am firmly convinced that the National Council of Turkmenistan will turn into a nationwide representative body that unites our people and guides them towards high goals.

“Our main goal is to ensure a happy life for our dear people, - the President said. - In the name of this, we will continue our social policy. We will regularly increase monthly wages and pensions. We will take all measures to accelerate the development of our economy and increase the country's prestige in the international arena”.

Our priority tasks, domestic policy and foreign policy course will remain unchanged, the Turkmen leader stressed.

Spot gas price in Europe exceeds $2,300 per thousand cubic meters

The spot price of gas in Europe has exceeded $2,300 per thousand cubic meters. The cost of the nearest (September) futures on TTF on the ICE Futures exchange reached $2,311 per thousand cubic meters on Thursday afternoon, while trading started at $2,200, Interfax notes.
