Turkmenistan is ready to expand cooperation in the transport sector in the space of the Central Asian region and China. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking on Friday at the first Summit “Central Asia – China” in the ancient Chinese city of Xi’an.

“We are ready to expand cooperation in the transport sector, the main factor of which is the existence of objective mutual interests of the countries of Central Asia and China,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov claimed. His speech was published today on the TDH website.

“We are confident that the project “Revival of the Great Silk Road” put forward by Turkmenistan is designed to give a powerful impetus to economic development in Eurasia, uniting vast expanses from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean on modern principles, forming interconnected production and technological cycles and industrial belts,” the President noted.

“In this context, we consider it especially important to focus our efforts on maximizing the potential that opens up for us in the context of optimizing transport flows in the space of the Central Asian region and China,” the head of Turkmenistan continued.
