The reporting meeting was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan dedicated to the results of the work done in 2023, proclaimed the year of “The happy youth with Arkadagly Serdar”. During the meeting, the tasks set for the oil and gas industry by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development of the country for 2023 on February 9 this year, proclaimed the year of “Magtymguly Fragi's Fount of Mind”, were also discussed.
Opening the reporting meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov emphasized that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov places great trust in workers in the oil and gas industry, and the state regularly provides support to improve the activities of the domestic fuel and energy complex. In this regard, the Vice-Chairman called on those gathered to continue making efforts to justify the trust placed in them by the head of state and through hard work to make a worthy contribution to the achievements of our fatherland.
During the meeting, reports on the results of the work done for 2023 were made by the State Minister of Turkmenistan – Chairman of the State Concern «Turkmengas» Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Concern «Turkmennebit» Guvanch Aghajanov, Chairman of the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» Gurbangeldy Garlyev, General Director of JSC «Turkmen National» oil and gas company Merdan Pirliev, as well as heads of associations, departments, organizations and enterprises of the complex.
The speeches included information about the production of oil, gas condensate and liquefied gas in the country, the widespread use of a digital system in the complex’s activities, the need to control issues related to the construction of TAPI, accelerating the pace of work at the Galkynysh field, ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of production facilities in the winter, consistent improving work to provide settlements with natural gas, increasing oil and gas production rates, developing cooperation with leading foreign companies, as well as in other equally relevant areas.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov emphasized the need for constant monitoring of ongoing large projects in the country’s oil and gas complex, the widespread introduction of modern technologies into the work of the industry, the need to familiarize relevant specialists with the ongoing activities on the ground, and also noted the importance of effectively solving problems related to the implementation of planned obligations for The year 2024 outlined specific tasks facing the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit”, and the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”.
Adviser to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues, Ashyrguly Begliev, highlighted priority areas in the oil and gas complex, outlined specific tasks facing the Turkmengas State Corporation, Turkmennebit and the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”.
Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov wished the industry workers success in developing the oil and gas sector and effectively solving the tasks set by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the head of state - Hero of Turkmenistan Arkadagly Serdar.
