Nomination and registration of candidates for the post of President of Turkmenistan continues

 Last Saturday, at a meeting of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan, two candidates nominated by initiative groups of citizens for the post of President of Turkmenistan, whose early elections are scheduled for March 12, were registered.

 In particular, from the initiative group of citizens of the Lebap velayat, the director of the financial and economic secondary vocational school of the Lebap velayat, Perkhat Begenjov, was registered as a candidate for the highest state post.  From a group of citizens of the Akhal region - the chief physician of the Avaza sanatorium of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, deputy of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh Berdymammet Gurbanov.

 Also on Saturday, meetings of initiative groups of citizens were held in Akhal and Mary regions, during which the most worthy contenders for the highest state post were nominated.

 In particular, Maksatmyrat Ovezgeldiyev, the head of the sanitary and epidemiological service of the Babadaykhan etrap of the Akhal region, was nominated from the Akhal region.  From the Mary region - director of the research and production center "Renewable Energy Sources" of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan Kakageldi Sariyev.

 During the meetings, high organizational skills and professionalism of the selected candidates, their extensive work experience, as well as respectable personal qualities were noted.

 Thus, the organizational work on the preparation of the upcoming elections of the President of Turkmenistan continues.  Every effort is being made to ensure the high level of this important socio-political campaign, which is designed to become a new effective step towards further democratization of the Turkmen society, steadily moving along the path of creation and progressive transformations.

 All candidates will be given equal opportunities to meet with the electorate, speak at election meetings, and in the media.
