Business Council «Turkmenistan-USA»: key aspects of cooperation discussed

 Key aspects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed at the next meeting of the Business Council «Turkmenistan-USA», held on October 5 via videoconference, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

 The meeting was attended by members of the government, heads of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, Executive Director of the Council Eric Stewart, US Ambassador to Turkmenistan Matthew Klimow, as well as heads of major American companies members of the Council: John Deere, Case New Holland, Boeing  , Exxon Mobil General Electric, Coca Cola, Zeppelin, Westport Trading Ltd., Caterpillar, Oxbow, Visa, and others.

 During the meeting, the need to diversify the economic partnership between Turkmenistan and the United States was emphasized, in which a special place was given to investment, financial and banking, agricultural, oil and gas, transport, logistics and technological areas.

 An exchange of views also took place on organizing a visit by a representative American business delegation to Turkmenistan by the end of this year.

 The parties stressed the importance of the Business Council «Turkmenistan – USA» in the development of mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.  It was noted that the Business Council, established in 2008, has become an effective mechanism for establishing and strengthening relations between the business structures of Turkmenistan and the United States.

 The Turkmen side expressed the commitment of the government of Turkmenistan to expanding trade and economic cooperation with US business structures, noting the long-term contribution of American companies to various areas of the Turkmen economy.

 The leadership of the Business Council took the initiative to provide proposals on new forms and areas of cooperation in the near future.

 As part of the meeting, dozens of online meetings were held between the parties on various areas of Turkmen-American cooperation.

Supply of Turkmen oil products increased due to national ships

International transport conference in Ashgabat will bring together representatives of more than 170 foreign companies
