The achievements of Turkmenistan in the field of fuel and energy complex and other areas were noted by international organizations

At the International Scientific and Practical Conference held on Wednesday, December 27, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the main successes and achievements of Turkmenistan in 2023 were formulated.  A number of them were noted by international organizations, which was announced during the forum and marked by the presentation of relevant certificates at its thematic sessions.

 The head of the rating agency UI GreenMetric World University Ranking, Riri Fitri Sari, presented certificates confirming the inclusion of eight universities of Turkmenistan in the international ranking UI GreenMetric World University Ranking.  Among them: Yagshigeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas, Oguzhan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, Turkmen Agricultural University, Turkmen State Institute of Finance, Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics, Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications, State Energy Institute, Turkmen Agricultural Institute.

 The section “Arkadag Serdarly bagtyýar ýaşlar ýylynda nebitgaz pudagynda ýaşlaryň orny” was dedicated to the achievements of the basic branch of the national economy - the oil and gas sector.

 As noted, having rich reserves of energy resources, Turkmenistan is confidently developing the potential of the domestic fuel and energy complex, carrying out large-scale activities for the industrial development of oil and gas fields, processing oil and gas resources to produce high-quality products that meet international standards, and diversifying natural gas supplies to world markets.  Today, young specialists are actively involved in this work, successfully adopting the experience and skills of their senior mentors.

The success of the industry was recognized by the International Quality Award “Quality Achievements Awards 2023”, presented to the State Concern “Turkmengas” on the digital system by the Director General of the European Society for Quality Research, Michael Harris.

 Also at the conference, certificates were handed over confirming the inclusion of the “Great Silk Road: Zarafshan-Karakum Corridor” site and the multilateral nomination “Turanian Deserts of the Temperate Zone” in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

 The Turkmenaragatnasgyk agency also received an international certificate and diploma for its success in promoting digital transformation in the private sector of Turkmenistan, developing the digital economy and supporting the country’s intellectual youth.

 The shipbuilding and ship repair plant «Balkan» was awarded by Bureau Veritas Marine Kazakhstan, the agency «Turkmenautotransport» - the representative office in Central Asia of the certified Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK, «Turkmen Railways» - the Organization for International Cooperation of Railways.

 During the sectoral sections, a certificate was awarded for the efforts of the Government of Turkmenistan towards universal health coverage by ensuring access to quality medicines.
