On Monday, June 2, talks were held in Ulaanbaatar between Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in the country the day before on a state visit, TDH reports.

During the talks, Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan's focus on developing and expanding cooperation with Mongolia in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Noting that the current state visit of the Turkmen delegation is intended to give new impetus to bilateral cooperation, Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that through joint efforts we can do a lot to achieve this goal.

The agenda of the Turkmen-Mongolian talks includes a wide range of issues of interstate cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

As for trade and economic cooperation, today there are all the prerequisites for its diversification and expansion, increasing the volume of trade turnover, and activating mutually beneficial contacts through business structures. The Turkmen-Mongolian Business Forum scheduled to be held in Ulaanbaatar is also intended to facilitate this.

As expected, following the talks at the top, a large package of documents will be signed that will strengthen the contractual and legal framework of interstate relations, will facilitate the practical implementation of the solid potential of the partnership, and will give it a long-term character, taking into account modern realities and prospects.

On the same day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan.

During the meeting, confidence was expressed that the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Mongolia will contribute to the comprehensive development of friendly relations between the two countries, and will also give an effective impetus to contacts at the inter-parliamentary level.
