Preparations are underway for the second meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council

During a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held digitally on July 3, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov discussed preparations for the second meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council, TDH reports.
Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev delivered a report, announcing that the Council meeting would be held in Dushanbe. Necessary organizational work is currently underway.
The main goal of the upcoming meeting will be the further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
Representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan are expected to participate in the Business Council.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan is consistently expanding trade and economic cooperation with foreign countries, including Tajikistan, and instructed that high-quality preparations be ensured for the second meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council.
It is worth noting that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan covers a wide range of areas: from energy and transport to agriculture and cultural and humanitarian ties.
Key areas of cooperation include the fuel and energy sector. Our country supplies petroleum products to Tajikistan and is exploring ways to increase these volumes. Cooperation in natural gas supplies and expanding energy dialogue are also being discussed.
