Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov urged to develop cooperation in transport and energy, speaking on Friday at the Summit of leaders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which opened today in Samarkand. It is reported by TDH.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan, having joined the OTS as an observer, contributes to building the capacity of the Organization in the trade, economic, industrial, transport, environmental, cultural and humanitarian fields.
“We also strive to intensify trade and economic relations, increase and diversify trade between our countries,” Hero-Arkadag emphasized. “In particular, we are talking about the economic routes connecting our states, which we consider as a stable and basic system for the movement of goods, services and investments in the Eurasian space”.
In his opinion, an important component of these routes is industrial cooperation, the unification of the industrial and technological potential of the OTS and the implementation of large joint infrastructure projects.
“Turkmenistan considers the activation of partnership in the transport and energy sector among the priorities of the Organization of Turkic States, which today also acts as a determinant of trends in overall economic growth”, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
“Timely and actively integrate into this process, using the existing competitive advantages, secure the role of a full-fledged and effective participant in the formation of new transport and transit corridors, energy routes - I am convinced that these should become our common urgent tasks for the foreseeable future”, the head emphasized. upper house of the Turkmen parliament.
