The international investment forum “Arkadag – “smart” city” took place literally the next day after the grand opening of the first stage of the new city.

On Thursday, June 29, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, large-scale celebrations were held in honor of the opening of the first stage of the new city of Arkadag, built 30 kilometers from the capital of Turkmenistan on the initiative of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with the head of Turkmenistan on Friday, congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the commissioning of the facilities of the first stage of construction of the "smart" city of Arkadag, TDH reports.

At the opening ceremony of the “smart” city of Arkadag, 21 international certificates were awarded in a solemn atmosphere, confirming achievements in various fields.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated compatriots on the holiday of Eid al-Adha, which is celebrated for three days – June 28-29-30.

In January-May, Turkmen “blue” fuel was sent to the Celestial Empire in the amount of 4.25 billion US dollars, while the growth was approximately 13.5%. At the Wekilbazar petroleum production enterprise three new tanks were built and put into operation by the builders of the Mary division of the cost-supporting repair and construction department of the Main Directorate Turkmennebitonumleri. Tanks are designed to store more than three thousand cubic meters of oil products.

194,457 tons of oil were processed at the Seydi oil refinery in January-May 2023. 146,000 295 tons from them are oil products: 77 thousand 100 tons of gasoline, 1,500 tons of fuel oil, 49 thousand 344 tons of diesel fuel, 10 thousand 744 tons of heavy vacuum kerosene, 7 thousand 577 tons of oil bitumen.

The presentation of the book “Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care”, published and presented to a wide readership in the “Year of Happy Youth with Arkadagly Serdar”, was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan.

The State Concern “Turkmengas”, following the results of an international tender, will determine a company that will carry out the construction, supply of equipment and commissioning of the KS-1 Shatlyk compressor station for the East-West gas pipeline.
